Community Support Needed - DC - Help Michael get his life started back up!

Recently I was put in touch with Michael Moore and his sister Shanell. Neither of them have a social media presence so I’m posting on their behalf in hopes of finding their family some support. Michael was recently released from prison and is currently working on finding work again to support himself, his wife and their three grandchildren. He does mechanic work and is hoping to raise money for transportation and new tools so that he can start taking customers again.

Name: Michael Moore DOB: 08/13/1970 in Washington DC. Age 50 caucasian male and the oldest of 5 siblings. Married for over 17 years with a biracial background (we have the same mother (white female) different father mine black his white.) He’s a grandfather of 3 by marriage and he is all they’ve known since birth. His wife has done all she can to support Michael during his time in jail but it was hard on her without his being there helping with the grandchildren and financially. He is a mechanic by trade and mostly works odd jobs for himself independently when the opportunity presents itself.

Michael is not very comfortable with his computer skills, writing and spelling so that’s why I’m here to help. Michael had a run in with the law back in July of 2019 as he was trying to defend himself and was recently released in December 2020. Just to make it clear no was hurt in the matter. Michael has been in contact with different people and places trying to find a job while he works on retrieving identification and vital records. It has been a challenge for him and his family who depend on him everyday. Michael wants to replace his mechanical tools that were stolen from him upon his arrest. He also wants to support his wife and grandchildren with the necessities that they need. He wants to hopefully be able to purchase some tools so that he can gain some of his customers back.

Michael wants to hopefully be able to purchase a used car sometime in the summer so that he may be of access to his family and his customers being that the weather is nicer and will be of good business for him. Michael has expressed to me that he feels" less of a man “when he cannot take care of his family. Due to the covid-19 pandemic things has been very rough for Michael upon being released from jail being that everything has basically been on a standstill for him. Michael is not getting the responses that he needs at the time so he feels the urge to get back to what he knows best which is working on cars in order to provide for his wife and grandchildren.

Michael’s goal at this time is $3,000 for the used car and new tools for his mechanic work. As of right now, his sister’s c*sh*pp is the only way he can accept donations, but I will update this post if other options open.
